Kiddie Academy of Tigard

Lovely facility directly backing up to a mass transit line. Management is unprofessional towards staff and teachers during verbal communication with them. High staff and teacher turnover rate even for the industry presently exists. The Tigard, Oregon location is in its infancy as of the time of this writing. A huge need exists within the area for reputable, and affordable childcare. As time passes on and with continued training of staff, teachers, and management, a positive change in employee and family retention rates for this site should come.

I would not send my child to kiddie academy. As a former teacher I feel as if the director clearly has no idea how to run a center (ive been doing this since I was 16.) One day rule is in place and then the next day the rules doesn't matter. The director and AD director have very clearly showed what parents are their favorite cause the parents that they pick are wealthy families. I placed my two weeks for number of reasons but one of the main reasons was due to the fact that my coteacher AND her daughter at the time has purposely made children cry while laughing at them as they cried. I did share concerned to my director and told her the exact times and dates of the incidents and she basically gaslighted me and told me that she didnt see the incidents and that I should rethink about the times and dates. Other teachers witnessed it and the director did talked to one of them but lied and said she didnt say anything regardless to the incident. one of them was a 18 year old and who say it as well and the director said and I quote " I wont be talking to her because she is to young to know whats right and wrong and I cant trust her judgment. " I did report them cause this is not okay. And whats even worse is that I told my AD that she was doing it months before I quit and she did nothing. This center has so much potential but the people who is running it isnt suitable at all and the kids and parents deserve so much better. so thats why I dont feel like its best to send your kids here with the teachers that they hire.

My daughter loves to go to school here! We used to face tears at drop offs every day at the facility we were at before Kiddie Academy, but now she talks happily about going to school to see her teachers and friends in the mornings. As a parent, I love how clean and professional the facility is. The staff is excellent and I feel very confident in the care my daughter receives. The in-room cameras are also a nice touch; It's both fun and comforting to be able to check in visually from my desk at work.

We couldn’t be more thrilled with this school. The staff and teachers are absolutely wonderful and take extraordinary care with the kids. The curriculum is excellent and is a fantastic primer for kindergarten/grade school, and the parents receive daily updates via an app, which is very user-friendly. Good communication and transparency is at the forefront of this business, which is a breath of fresh air in comparison to some of our other experiences. Cannot recommend enough!

My son is thriving at Kiddie Academy of Tigard. He feels loved and respected by his teachers which allows him to be his true self. The curriculum is challenging and I am amazed to see what he learns each day. What a blessing this learning environment has been for him and our family!
